Camping is available at Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary
for qualified groups. These include Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts,
Cub Scouts, and other groups trained in outdoor skills.
Groups experience the serenity of the sanctuary. Unlike
public parks where other groups camp in close proximity, groups
at Horse Creek are far away from any hustle and bustle, alone
with nature in all its beauty. Generally, no more than three
camping groups are on the property at one time, and their sites
are located at distances that allow total privacy.

only, and kayaks and sit-on-tops are for one person only. Paddles
and life vests are provided, and life vests are required to be

Waivers
A general waiver form
is required for the visiting group, relieving Horse Creek of
any liability for accidents while on the property. In addition,
all campers must complete an individual
waiver of liability. If the camper is under 18 years of age,
the waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. No camper
will be allowed to stay without a signed waiver. These must be
mailed in advance of your visit.

Notes
- Cell phone service in the area is very irregular. During
the weekend our office is closed, and no phone access is provided.
- Horse Creek Wildlife is a gated property. Automatic gates
restrict access to all areas. The group will be provided with
appropriate gate access information. This will be provided upon
arrival at Horse Creek to the group's leader during a short orientation
by Horse Creek personnel. It is the responsibility of the group
to provide entry access for campers arriving at a later time.
- Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary hopes each group's stay with
us will be enjoyable and safe!
