What's in a name? See below!

Ronin arrived at Horse Creek from the animal shelter on September 18, 2007.  Take a look at his eyes—they are very unusual!

Ronin was examined by our veterinarian and tested for heartworms.  He had a very mild case of heartworms and was treated for them.  This was not a difficult or severe treatment, and it was just a small bump in the road.  He has been re-checked for heartworms after his treatment, and the treatment was successful—he was negative!

While waiting, Ronin received his vaccinations and has been neutered.  He is a very sweet dog and wants all the attention he can get.

Ronin was named in tribute to Search and Rescue K-9, RONIN, who served at the Pentagon following the September 11th terrorist strikes on America. You can read his story in Dog Heroes of September 11th by Nora Kilgore Bauer.
