Orion and his two sisters arrived at Horse Creek from the animal shelter on August 8, 2007. Orion is a happy puppy. He romps and plays for hours, then collapses into long naps. Yep, a normal wonderful puppy! What breed is he? Your guess is probably better than ours. We don’t think he will be a large dog—he has not grown very fast. Orion is a little bigger than his sisters. He has a very short tail, which is cute as can be when he bounces around. Orion had a little setback – he broke his toes on his front right foot. The veterinarian said that these puppies were so malnourished that his bones were just not strong enough. He had to wear a splint on his leg while his toes healed. He did not like this too much. This is not something that will happen again. With the good nutrition he has received, his bones are now as strong as can be. He was lucky to come here while he was still young and growing, so we could give him what he needed. Now Orion has packed his bags and is ready to move in with a fantastic family who promise to love him and care for him always. He promises years of joy and companionship. |
