Nellie arrived at Horse Creek on April 9, 2008.   She weighs five whole pounds.  She is a dainty little lady! 

Nellie was checked over by our veterinarian and tested for heartworms.  She was negative!  She had a slightly odd walk and the veterinarian wanted to x-ray her legs.  Her x-rays revealed that she has a tibial twist.  This is frequently seen with the inbreeding of dogs and more common with small breeds. 

Nellie should be fine – she’ll just have an odd walk.  She prefers to be carried everywhere she needs to go anyway!

Nellie has received all of her vaccinations and was already spayed when we rescued her.  She’s got her bags packed and is ready for her forever home.  She has requested that we find her a home where she will be spoiled!  That will not be a hard request to fill for her.  She deserves it!
