Mugsy arrived at Horse Creek on September 13, 2007. He had been relinquished by a family who no longer wanted to be bothered with his care. Obviously, his care had not been that perfect anyway. Mugsy tested positive for heartworms and had to undergo heartworm treatments. He had to remain very calm and quiet for two months. This was not an easy accomplishment for a dog that loves people as much as Mugsy does. But he has all that behind him now! During that time, he also received all of his vaccinations and was neutered. Mugsy is a big, strong guy. But he’s a pussycat. Once you let him know you’re the boss, he tries hard to please. He and his playmate Tilly romp and run for hours and hours. It is a joy to watch them having fun. Mugsy is ready to settle into a loving home with a family who will care for him forever.
