Memphis and Luna had been seen at a local garbage dump.  They were obviously undernourished.  You could count their ribs and see their hip bones.  Memphis had been shot with a shotgun and had small wounds all down one side of his body. 

Memphis and Luna arrived at Horse Creek on April 6, 2008.  We believe that Memphis is a Walker Hound.  He certainly has the look and the bark of one. 

Memphis was checked over by our veterinarian and tested for heartworms.  He was NEGATIVE.  He was covered in ticks – so he was immediately bathed and dipped.  He has been neutered and has received all of his vaccinations.

Memphis plays well with other dogs and wants all the attention he can get from people.  He is a very sweet and loving dog.  He would make a great addition to a family.  He would like his new family to promise that they would never abandon him as his previous owners did.  That was not fun and he deserves better than that!
